Just few weeks ago, Kartik Aaryan had a fallout with Dharma Productions and Karan Johar after which he was fired from his upcoming film 'Dostana 2'. Apparently, this hasn't affected Kartik's market value all that much. The actor has managed to bag two more movies after that and both are with renowned filmmakers. His team up with Sajid Nadiadwala was announced a few weeks back while for his next project, Kartik is going to star in a Hansal Mehta film.

The buzz suggests that he'll be playing an Air Force pilot in it. A source told Bollywood Hungama, "It's a commercial film that will have a Hansal touch. The film has been put together by Harman Baweja and has a nationalistic angle to it. In fact, the movie is based on a real life story. Kartik will play the role of an IAF officer. He will be the main pilot in the rescue operation."

This will be another in a string of aviation related movies currently in production. Ajay Devgan is starring as a pilot in 'Mayday' and 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India' while Kangana Ranaut will be playing an IAF pilot in 'Tejas'. Last year, Janhvi Kapoor made her debut with the film 'Gunjan Saxena' where she played an Air Force pilot.
