Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan delivered an entertaining and funny performance in his last film 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and now fans are all set to see him in a serious avatar in the upcoming film 'Freddy'. While he's is known for playing happy and cheerful roles, this time Kartik will be seen as a quite and lonely Dr Freddy Ginwala who has a certain obsession. In a recent media interaction, the actor shared a thing or two about his character and stated that it's a farcry from typical Bollywood heroes.
Kartik also shared that Freddy is so dark that he can hardly be called a hero. According to a recent report in Times Now, he said, "The character is dark -- he is not your conventional Bollywood hero. You wouldn't consider him a hero at all. My character in Freddy helped me explore a different side of my craft and encouraged me to challenge my abilities at every step as an actor."
He further added, "It's different. It's gripping. It's a dark thriller that's been missing for a while. Freddy leaves you at the edge of your seat at every corner. It's a very special film to me, and I hope audiences appreciate the effort and everything we've attempted to do with the film."
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and also starring Alaya F, the film is set to release on 2nd of December on Disney+ Hotstar.
