Due to heavy landslides in Himachal Pradesh's Kulu Manali, the producer of Karthi's next has incurred a huge loss. 'Dev', the film, was being shot in the hill station with 140 crew members until the landslides hit the location.
It's estimated that Prince Pictures has incurred a loss to the tune of Rs. 1.5 Cr because of the natural calamity.
What's worse is that the crew members, with the exception of Karthi, are stranded in the landslides.
Karthi escaped from the situation because he was yet to reach the shooting location. When he was traveling by car to reach the location, landslides started to occur and rocks and boulders were seen hurtling down from mountains. Karthi had to step out of his vehicle and go to a nearby village on foot.
The film stars Rakul Preet Singh as the heroine.
