'Khakee', set to hit the screens on Nov 17, has evocative lines. If the trailer is any indication, punch lines galore in this cop drama.

For example, two of the lines spoken by Karthi's character in the trailer are a case in point:

1. Power lo unnodi praanaaniki icche viluva public praanaaniki endhuku ivvaru sir.

Translation: Why do you not give public life the value that you give to the lives of those in power, sir?

2. Manam chedda vaalla nundi manchi vaallani kaapaade police udyogam cheyatledhu sir, manchi vaalla nundi chedda vaallani kaapade chemchaa udyogam chesthunnam.

Translation: It seems we are not doing the policeman's job to protect good people from bad ones. Rather we are yesmen, who are protecting bad ones from the wrath of the good ones.

As per Karthi, even the romantic lines between the characters of Karthi and Rakul Preet Singh will be a high point in director H Vinoth's career.

Umesh Gupta and Subhash Gupta of Aditya Music Pvt Ltd are producing the Telugu version.
