Following the likes of Kavya and Gopika, malayalee actor karthika will also enter matrimony by the end of next month. She will tie the knot on May 18 with Merin Mathew, a medical officer working at Blue Mount hospital, Michigan. The ceremony will be hosted at the St Mary's Orthodox Church, Thevelakkara at 10.30 am.

Karthika met Merin through some common friends, and their friendship later became a strong relation through net chats and mails. And when Merin finally made the proposal, she made it a family act by asking him to discuss it with her parents.

The actress who became famous through her big roles, majority in Vinayan films, also made a name for herself in Tamil films with movies like ''Dindugal Sarathy ''and '' Naalai Namathe'' . She still have a few big roles in the coming releases like ''Pulan Vicharani-2", "Nootrukku Nooru" and "Palaivanaicholai".

The actress is not yet sure whether she will continue with her acting career after the marriage. Anyway she had made it sure that will be available in the industry for another three months after marriage to complete a few projects, that she has already signed upon.
