After the critically acclaimed 'Iraivi', young director Karthik Subbaraj is supposed to direct Dhanush. A few months ago both the actor and the director announced that they will be working together and the film will start rolling from September.

However today is October 1, and till date nothing has panned out. Even the official announcement on the project is yet to be made. This has raised questions about the fate of the project like whether it is still on cards and if yes when will it start.

Dhanush is presently busy with his directorial project 'Power Pandi' and shooting for 'Vada Chennai'. He also has to complete director Gautham Menon's 'Yenai Nokki Paayum Thota'.

Meanwhile we learn from a source that Karthik Subbaraj may team up for the third time with Vijay Sethupathi after 'Pizza' and 'Iraivi'. It is worth noting that the Makkal Selvan also played a cameo role in Subbaraj's second film 'Jigarthanda'.

We will have to wait for some more time to ascertain whether the prominent director of the present generation will complete Dhanush film before teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi or will it be the other way round.

An official confirmation from the director himself will clear the air.
