Karthik Subbaraj gives a befitting reply to a reporter’s insensitive question about Nimisha Sajayan

Karthik Subbaraj is a path-breaking director who redefined the Kollywood filmmaking style with his films like ‘Pizza’, ‘Jigarthanda’ and ‘Iraivi’. After two OTT releases, he recently made his theatrical comeback with ‘Jigarthanda Double X’, the sequel to his blockbuster film.

Jigarthanda Double X stars SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence in the lead roles with Shine Tom Chacko, Nimisha Sajayan, Ilavarasu, Sathyan, Aravind Aakash and others in supporting roles. The film was released on November 10, the Diwali weekend. It opened to highly positive reviews from the critics and the general audience. Also, the sequel is a huge box office success.

The team hosted a success meet for Jigarthanda Double X. Karthik, SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence were present at the event. A reporter asked, “Though Nimisha Sajayan is not beautiful, she has performed on par with Raghava Lawrence. Why did you choose her for this role?” Karthik Subbaraj gave a befitting reply to his indecent question. He said, “How can you say she’s not beautiful? I don’t know about your mindset but you can’t say one is not beautiful. I feel your understanding is very wrong.”
