Karthik Subbaraj's open offer to Mani Ratnam and Gautham Menon

Director Karthik Subbaraj who is busy with his third feature film 'Iraivi' has been providing a platform for short film makers through his Bench Talkies banner. This week 'Bench Talkies' is releasing 'Aviyal' in theaters across Tamil Nadu. 'Aviyal' is a collection of six short films.
Karthik who hails from the short film background has recently announced that he will be happy to produce short films by directors Mani Ratnam and Gautham Menon if they decided to make one short film per year.
This is an open invitation by the younger generation filmmaker to his seniors to enter the arena of short films which has acquired its own market space through social media. It will be interesting to wait and watch how the veterans are going to react.
