After his wildly impressive outings in films like 'Pizza', 'Jigarthanda' and 'Iraivi', director Karthik Subbaraj will be wielding the megaphone for his next venture which is interestingly titled as 'Mercury'. India's dance icon/actor/director Prabhu Deva will be essaying the lead role in this much anticipated movie.

Now the exciting update is that apart from its release in Tamil, the film will be out in Hindi language as well. As Prabhu Deva is a well known name in Bollywood circle, this seems to be a good move. And not only that, this will serve as a gateway for the young director to reach a pan-national audience as well.

Another tidbit is that 'Mercury' is touted to be silent film with thriller elements. One cannot be but reminded of another silent film namely Kamal's 'Pesum Padam' which was adored by the audiences.

The film also has an ensemble cast of Remya Nambeesan, Sananth Reddy, Deepak Paramesh and Anish Padman as well. The music is being scored by Santhosh Narayanan and the project is being bankrolled by Stone Bench Pvt Ltd. Watch this space more exciting updates !
