Karthik Subbaraj has filed a complaint with the Directors' Union against producer Kathiresan, for selling the Hindi remake rights of 'Jigarthanda' without his knowledge.

While the director, it is said, owns 40 per cent rights of the movie, Kathiresan has allegedly sold them to Bollywood prodcuer Sajid Nadiadwala without keeping Karthik in the loop.

"This has irked Karthik Subbaraj who has approached the Directors' Union," sources said. It may be recalled that there was a dispute between Karthik and Kathiresan during the release of the movie over the Censor certificate.
