Karthik Subbaraj confirms gangster flick with Dhanush! details

Karthik Subbaraj is a bundle of surprises. First, his project with Rajinikanth which is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures and now, a gangster flick with the talented Dhanush. Yes, you read that right. Karthik had confirmed the project which was earlier thought to be dropped.

Karthik being the kind of storyteller he is, actually wanted Hollywood’s A-list actors like Robert De Niro, Pierce Brosnan or Al Pacino(gulp!) for the role. But owing to some difficulties in the casting process, the team is reportedly scouting for another Hollywood actor to share screen space with Dhanush.

Dhanush has already impressed us with his gangster outing in ‘Puthupettai’ while Karthik gave a distinct treatment to the gangster genre with his ‘Jigarthanda’. No wonder this project is going to create a lot of anticipation around it.

The project will most probably go on floors following the completion of his project with Rajinikanth. Sashikanth of Y Not Studios will be producing this exciting film. Watch this space for more updates!
