Karthik Kumar to foray in Mollywood

It has been more than a decade now after Karthik was seen first on the silver screen through Mani Ratnam's 'Alaipayudhey'. He appeared in a small role spanning not more that 5 minutes. His next prominent appearance was in 2005 when he was one of the lead characters in 'Kanda Naal Mudhal,' a romantic comedy that had Prasanna, Laila and Karthik playing the lead roles.
Karthik's theatre house Evam has been entertaining theatre fans all over for many years now and their plays are much looked forward to by all.
Meanwhile his latest release 'Veppam' is doing well. Directed by Anjana Ali Khan the film sees Karthik Kumar, Nani, Priya Menen and Bindhu Madhavi playing the leads. The actor seems to have hit the bull's eye with his portrayal of a slum boy in the action thriller 'Veppam.'
Now post 'Veppam,' good roles are finding their way to Karthik's address and the actor has even bagged an offer to play an important role in a Malayalam film! He is in talks with the production team and might soon pen his name on the dotted line, reveal sources in the know. If all goes well, this will be Karthik Kumar's first film in Malayalam...
