Karthick Naren is a new-gen filmmaker in Tamil cinema who had directed several award-winning short films like Pradhi and Nirangal Moondru before his feature film debut. He debuted on the big screen through the 2016 movie Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru which went on to become a sleeper hit.

Karthick's second directorial Naragasooran was long-delayed and awaiting release through an OTT platform in the upcoming days. Then, he went to direct Mafia that received mixed talks from the audience. Currently, the filmmaker is working on Dhanush-Malavika Mohanan starrer Maaran that is now under post-production.

Meanwhile, the latest news is that Karthick Naren is all set to helm a new Crime Thriller film starring Atharvaa and veteran actor Rahman in the lead roles. This is the second collaboration of Rahman with Karthick Naren after Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru and he is most likely to play a dual role in the upcoming movie.

The shooting of the untitled project is set to commence in December month. The makers are currently busy finalising the rest of the cast & crew. The team will drop an official announcement once they are done.
