Karthi is on a roll in his career after delivering back to back blockbuster hits 'Sulthan', 'Ponniyin Selvan' and 'Sardar'. The hardworking hero has another big surprise for his fans as he has appeared in a latest promo video of the WWE along with a superstar wrestler.

In the promo by Sony, Karthi is seen walking casually with WWE superstar Drew McIntyre as a bank is under siege. They then blast their way in sending henchmen flying all over. There is freindly banter between the two as Drew tells Karthi in Tamil "Bro Arambi" to which the actor replies "Illa bro neenga arambinga" to which the wrestler insists "Nee Arambi" and again the mass hero goes "Mariyathaya irukaathu nee arambi".

By the time one of the villain has a grip on Karthi who holds him by the scruff of his neck and says" I didnt ask you to start but the Scottish Warrior". Karthi then performs a chokeslam on him and along with Drew subdues the villains with his own brand of WWE moves. The longest running wrestling show in history comes to Sony Sports in Tamil too.

McIntyre is a two-time WWE Champion, one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, one-time NXT Champion, and a two-time WWE (Raw) Tag Team Champion, and also won the 2020 Slammy Award for Superstar of the Year.

Karthi's next movie 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' directed by Mani Ratnam and costarring Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha is releasing in Summer 2023. He is currently shooting for 'Japan' directed by Raju Murugan and will start shooting for 'Kaithi 2' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in late 2023.
