We all know that before venturing in to acting, Karthi worked as an Assistant Director to Mani Ratnam in 'Aayudha Ezhuthu' and that was his first tryst with Tamil cinema.

Today he is a top league hero and the Treasurer of the Nadigar Sangam. After two back to back super hits with 'Madras' and 'Komaban', Karthi is waiting for a hat-trick with 'Thozha' that is all set to hit the screens next week.

'Thozha' is simultaneously releasing in Telugu as 'Oopiri'. Both the versions star Karthi and Nagarjuna in central characters. This will be Karthi's first direct Telugu film and the first time Nagarjuna has dubbed on his own for the Tamil version.

Ahead of the bilingual flick's release, the team met the Press today. In a down to earth and candid speech, Karthi revealed some interesting secrets about the film.

The 'Paiyya' star said that the film's director Vamsi Paidipally has assured him of giving dual credits as an actor as well as Assistant Director. In 'Oopiri' Karthi will get the tag of 'Introducing' and in Tamil he will get dual credits as an actor as well as Assistant Director.

This is the first time Karthi will be getting dual mention in a film's credit as he has worked as the hero as well as AD in the film.
