Following the recent incident where veteran actor Sivakumar had pushed aside a cellphone of a youngster who tried to capture selfie video, actor Karthi had said that people must have the basic courtesy to ask people before clicking selfies with them.

Today in the audio launch event of Anant Nag and Anju Kurian starrer July Kaatril, actress Kasturi who was hosting the event called Karthi on stage and tried to take selfie with him saying that she would like to take it as Sivakumar was not nearby. Following this Karthi lashed out at selfies lacking respect, during his speech.

After this Kasturi was trolled by netizens for the act, and had received advise from social media users, and then she had posted a tweet stating that she had planned to do something on stage during July Kaatril event to make it viral, and her plan had worked out. People who got emotional believing what happened on stage will love July Kaatril movie.
