Rumors are rife in Kollywood circles that actor Karthi has started his own film production company, following his elder brother`s footsteps. It is also said that Karthi is producing his upcoming film Kashmora` in which he is paired up with Nayanthara and Sridivya.

Actor Suriya has just launched his production company 2D Entertainments and his maiden production venture `36 Vayadhinile` which was also the comeback film of his wife and popular heroine Jyothika ended up as a critically acclaimed and commercially successful venture.

However Karthi has denied becoming a producer. In a statement, the Komban` actor said "I worked as an assistant director to Mani Ratnam and became a hero. I have a dream to direct films but I have never thought of becoming a producer. Kashmora` is being produced by Prince Productions and it is not my production company as it is being rumored."

Kashmora` is being directed by Gokul of idharkuthaney Aasaipattai Balakumara` fame and it is said to be a high budget fantasy entertainer and Karthi reportedly plays dual roles in this film.
