Karthi, one of the busiest Tamil actors, has two blockbuster sequels in his lineup. 'Kaithi' and 'Sardar' were two high-grossing films in his career. The makers announced sequels for those films earlier. The latest buzz is that the actor is set to shoot for 'Sardar 2' from June.

'Sardar' directed by PS Mithran was a spy thriller with Karthi in dual roles. The film talks about water safety. Now, sources close to the development have confirmed that the 'Sardar 2' story deals with drug trafficking and its awareness. The movie team is currently busy with pre-production and star casting. 'Sardar 2' will hit the screens in 2025.

'Sardar 2' will be officially launched by May end and the filming will start in June. Karthi is now shooting for the 'Karthi 26' aka 'Vaa Vaathiyare', directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. He will wrap up this film and join the sets of the Sardar sequel. PS Mithran will be returning as the director with Yuvan Shankar Raja replacing GV Prakash as the music composer.
