Actor Karthi as we all know has gained a place for himself in the Kollywood film industry. He is one of the actors with zero haters and never says no to experimenting. Though we have seen him as an on-screen chocolate boy he did not have a love story of his own in real life.

Though the reason for this remained a mystery, recently Karthi has revealed the reason to be none other than his mom. Karthi's mother has often said, “Look...don't fall in love with anyone! We will not get you married. That's why the subject of love has disappeared in his life, said Karthi.

After bride hunting for almost six years, with ending up with no luck, Karthi's mother had said, "If you love someone, tell me, and I will get you married." Karthi who has had an OMG moment finally married Ranjini Chinnaswamyin the year 2011.

On the work front, Karthi is playing the lead role of Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan in the upcoming film Ponniyin Selvan directed by Mani Rathnam. He also has Viruman waiting for release. He is currently shooting for the film Sardar.
