Young actor Karthi, the Treasurer candidate of Pandavar Ani in the Nadigar Sangam Elections happening today has reacted to the calls of changing the name of Nadigar Sangam as Tamil Nadu Artists Association instead of South Indian Artists Association.

A few days back veteran director Bharathiraja and director Seeman have strongly pitched their voice in favour of the name change. More importantly Superstar Rajinikanth after casting his votes this morning said that the first job of whoever wins in the elections and takes charge of the administration of Nadigar Sangam should be to change the name of the Sangam as Tamil Nadu Nadigar Sangam.

Karthi has however said that action is more important than changing the name of the Nadigar Sangam as there are many things needing immediate attention and action in the Sangam. He also said that candidates from the same team should win all the 29 posts (President + General Secretary + 2 Vice Presidents + Treasurer + 24 Executive Council Members) then only they can work in tandem and achieve good progress of the Sangam.
