Actor Karthi was last seen in Dev, and following the release of the movie had recently wrapped Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial Kaithi which is currently in post production phase and the dubbing is expected to begin soon, and the team plans to release the movie in July.

Following this movie, Karthi will be working on his next movie which will be directed by Remo fame Bakkiyaraj Kannan and produced by Dream Warrior pictures and this movie will mark the Tamil debut of Kannada and Telugu actress Rashmika Mandanna, and the movie will also have KGF fame Ramachandra as villain. Vivek - Mervin will compose music for this movie.

Now the latest speculation making rounds in the tinsel town is that this movie which is touted to be a family action entertainer has been named as Sultan. Though an official announcement or clarification on this title rumour is yet to be made, it must be noted that a decade back, Superstar Rajnikanth was supposed to star in an animation movie titled Sultan, directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth.
