Karthi to clash with Vijay after six years

Karthi`s next film Theeran Adhigaram Ondru` directed by Vinod of Sathuranga Vettai` fame is said to be a cop thriller based on true events. Rakul Preeth Singh plays the female lead opposite Karthi while Bose Venkat , Abhimanyu Singh and Scarlett Mellish Wilson are also in the cast. Dream Warriors Pictures S.R. Prabhu have slated the film for release on Diwali this year.

Vijay`s Mersal` directed by Atlee has also locked the date for a Diwali release and this will be the second time that Karthi will be facing off against Vijay at the box office. In 2011 Karthi`s blockbuster hit Siruthai` was released on the 14th of January while Vijay`s Kavalan` came the next day on the 15th.
