Karthi to repeat hit combo?

Actor Karthi last had a release in 2019 Christmas with Thambi, directed by Jeethu Joseph and co-starring his sister in law Jyothika, Sathyaraj and Seetha. As the movie is playing in several screens, Karthi has already started shooting for his next movie Ponniyin Selvan.
Karthi has already completed shooting for Sultan directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, and he has already locked two movies - one with Adangamaru director Karthik Thangavel and another with Irumbuthrai and Hero director PS Mithran.
Now the latest update is that Karthi might team up with director Muthaiah for the second time after their rural hit Komban. and that this movie might be produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment. An official clarification on this speculation is expected soon.
