Actor Karthi was last seen on screen in Thambi directed by Jeethu Joseph and the movie co-starring Jyothika opened to mixed reviews. The actor will be seen next in Sultan, which is produced by Dream Warrior pictures.

Directed by Remo fame Bakkiyaraj Kannan, the movie marks the Tamil debut of actress Rashmika Mandanna and also stars KGF fame Ramachandra Raju. It was recently rumoured that Sultan might have a direct OTT release, and now producer SR Prabhu has made an official update on the status of the movie.

SR Prabhu tweeted "#Sulthan 90% shoot & Major edit are over. Looking at the possibilities to finish the balance works beside #COVID19 .This will be one of the biggest production & a complete entertainer from @DreamWarriorpic As you all know.. no plans on the release yet! @Bakkiyaraj_k #JaiSulthan". This has dismissed the recent rumours of Sultan heading for a direct OTT release.
