Karthi is currently on a promotional tour across India for 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' with the movie team. He plays the uncrowned Chola prince Vallavarayan Vandhiyathevan in 'PS1' which is releasing on September 30. His 'Sardar' directed by P.S. Mithran is hitting the screens on Diwali as well.

Meanwhile, Karthi joined with acclaimed director Raju Murugan for a project to be bankrolled by Prince Pictures. Indiaglitz already updated you that the film is tentatively titled 'Japan' and it may feature Vijay Sethupathi or Telugu actor Sunil as Karthi's counterpart. Now, the latest news is that the film will start rolling in October.

The official announcement regarding the film is expected to be made soon and the project will go on the floors with a pooja ceremony on Aayudha Pooja. GV Prakash Kumar is said to be scoring the music, while Ravi Varman will be handling the camera in 'Japan'. More details on this project are awaited. Stay tuned.
