Karthi one of the most bankable stars of Tamil cinema has been continuously delivering blockbuster hits in recent times namely 'Viruman', 'Ponniyin Selvan' and 'Sardar'. His next release is Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' costarring Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan coming to wordwide screens on April 28th.

Karthi also has a Diwali release getting ready in the form of 'Japan' directed by Raju Murugan and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures in which Anu Emmanuel and Sunil are playing major roles.

Earlir today Karthi's 26th film was launched with a formal pooja by producer K.E. Gnanavelraja under his banner Studio Green. The film marks the comeback of ace director Nalan Kumarasamy of 'Soodhu Kavvum' and 'Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum' fame. As reported by us much earlier Bollywood actress Gayatri Bhardwaj is playing hte female lead while Santhosh Narayanan is scoring the music. Studio Green on a strong comeback trail has under production some of the biggest budgeted films in Tamil cinema that include Chiyaan Vikram's 'Thangalaan' directed by Pa. Ranjith and Suriya's 42nd film directed by Siruthai Siva. The company's 'Pathu Thala' directed by Obeli N Krishna and starring Simbu and Gautham Karthik is releasing this Thursday, 30th March.
