Versatile actor Karthi is on a roll with back-to-back projects. Currently filming 'Sardar 2', Karthi's much-awaited releases 'Meiyazhagan' and 'Vaa Vaathiyaar' are set to hit the screens in quick succession. Adding to the excitement, his next project was officially announced yesterday with a title look poster, generating immense buzz among fans.

Tentatively titled 'Karthi 29', the film will be produced by Dream Warrior Pictures and directed by Tamizh, known for his critically acclaimed 'Taanakkaran'. The intriguing concept poster features a ship cruising through the sea, hinting at an adventurous plot, and confirms a 2025 release. This project marks Karthi's 29th film and promises to be a captivating period drama.

Director Tamizh had previously mentioned the film, revealing that it is set in the 1960s and 70s against the backdrop of Rameshwaram, with smuggling at the heart of the storyline. This gangster drama, co-produced by B4U Motion Pictures and Ivy Entertainment, is expected to begin filming soon with another power-packed performance from Karthi.
