Veteran hero to play villain to Karthi after a long time?

Karthi who delivered back to back blockbuster hits such as 'Sulthan', 'Sardar', 'Viruman', 'Ponniyin Selvan' and 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' is currently awaiting the release of his new movie 'Japan' directed by Raju Murugan which is releasing worldwide on Diwali this year. The film has Anu Emmaneul , Vijay Milton and Sunil in other important characters.
Karthi is also on the verge of completing his next movie directed by Nalan Kumarasamy in which the late superstar and TN Chief Minister MGR will appear via graphics. Krithi Shetty is playing the female lead while Santhosh Narayanan is scoring the music.
Now it is reported that veteran hero turned character artiste Sathyaraj is playing the chief antagonist after a very long time. Sathyaraj who started his career as a villain later turned hero and stuck to the policy of not doing any negative role for decades. However the script of Nalan and the fact that his close relative Karthi is playing the lead has apparently convinced the 'Baahubali' fame Kattappa to agree to be the baddie.
