Actor Karthi's latest release 'Thozha' is all set to result as his third commercial success in a row after 'Madras' and 'Komban'.

The film, starring Karthi alongside Tollywood veteran Nagarjuna playing a quadriplegic released on Friday last and has generated phenomenal positive word of mouth.

The film directed by Vamsi Paidipally has reportedly generated Rs.8.15 crores as the net collections in its first weekend in Tamil Nadu theatricals alone. The 30% Entertainment Tax cut granted by the Tamil Nadu Government for this U rated flick has ended up as tremendous fortune for the film.

'Thozha' is also performing well in weekdays which has started from today and a pretty decent occupancy is expected in this whole week, across the state. The trade is upbeat about the success of the film.

PVP Cinemas have produced this Tamil-Telugu bilingual, which has been titled as 'Oopiri' in Telugu. The Telugu version has won equally positive reviews and doing extremely well at the box office.
