Karthi's upcoming action thriller, Kaithi, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is all set to hit the screens across the world this Diwali, the same time Vijay's Bigil, directed by Atlee, is also releasing.

It was earlier announced that Karthi had teamed up with Dhrishyam director Jeethu Joseph, who also directed its Tamil remake, Papanasam, with Kamal Haasan. The family thriller movie stars Karthi and his sister-in-law Jyothika in the lead, where Jyothika plays his sister in the film. The untitled project is reportedly releasing during Pongal next year, the same time Rajinikanth's Darbar, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, is set to hit the screens.

Meanwhile, Karthi is also is busy with the shoot of Sultan, directed by Remo fame Bakkiyaraj Kannan, which stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead.
