Karthi and Jayam Ravi to reunite for another project after 'PS-2' with a surprise twist

Karthi and Jayam Ravi lived the roles of Vandiyathevan and Arummozhi Varman respectively in 'Ponniyin Selvan' and 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' directed by Mani Ratnam. The sequel which released worldwide in theaters on April 28th has reportedly garnered more than one hundred and fifty crores rupees within three days of its release.
Jayam Ravi recently spoke about the thundering success of 'PS-2' and thanked the audiences for support to his title character. He attributed the success to Mani Ratnam praising that he is the only one who did full justice to the entire multi star cast that includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Jayaram, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu and others.
Ravi added that during the making of the two films he narrated a few scripts to Mani Ratnam who encouraged him that the has it in him to become a director. Gaining confidence from the master the busy actor stated that he narrated a story to Karthi who liked it and promised to star in it. Jayam Ravi has in the past revealed his desire to direct and from this we can safely assume that Karthi is likely to be his first hero.
Karthi is currently acting in 'Japan' directed by Raju Murugan and has also started shooting for a new movie directed by Nalan Kumarasamy with Krithi Shetty playing the female lead. He is next expected to star in Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Kaithi 2' after the latter finishes Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo'.
Jayam Ravi on the other hand is on the verge of completing 'Siren' costarring Keerthy Suresh and Anupama Parameshwaran. His upcoming films include 'Iraivan', 'Genie' and an untitled family drama directed by M. Rajesh.
