Actor Karthi was last seen on screen in Jeethu Joseph's Thambi, and the actor will be seen next in the movie Sultan, which is directed by Remo fame Bakkiyaraj Kannan and is produced by Dream Warrior pictures.

While the shooting of the movie had been halted due to the lockdown, now the team has wrapped the shooting completely amidst Coronavirus pandemic scare, and Karthi has tweeted on the same. Karthi's tweet read "And it’s a wrap!! From the day we heard the idea three years back till today, the story continues to excite us. It’s one of my biggest productions so far. I thank the entire team for slogging it through and giving their best.#Sulthan.

Sultan is expected to be a theatrical release, and it has been speculated that the movie might hit screens alongside Vijay's Master, just like Kaithi and Bigil releasing together last year. Sultan also stars Rashmika Mandanna who makes her Tamil debut with the movie.
