Karthi has shared a touching information about his daughter Umayal revealing that the child always sleeps with her grandmother (Karthi's mother) when her grandfather (Sivakumar) is out of station.  Umayal does it so as to never leave her "Aathaa" alone and her proud father has gushed that children are the most thoughtful.

Karthi has had a good 2017 with his 'Theeran Adhigaram Ondru' becoming a critical and commercial success.  He is currently acting in 'Kadai Kutti Singam' produced by brother Suriya and directed by Pandiraj and costarring Sayyeshaa, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Banupriya, Soori and Sathyaraj. 

Whenever appa is not in town, my daughter goes to bed with my mother. Because she doesn't want her aatha (grandmother) to feel lonely. Children are the most thoughtful. #kindnessweek #kidsforkindness
