Karthi in Tamil's Vikramarkudu

  • IndiaGlitz, [Thursday,February 11 2010]

Vikramarkudu, directed by SS Rajamouli may have been an average grosser at the box office when it was released some years ago, but the same will soon be remade in Tamil. The film will star Karthi as the hero, who will be doing double role.

It will be directed by Shiva, the director of action-based Telugu films Sowryam and Shankam, with Gopichand in the lead. To be produced by Studio Green's K Gnanavel Raja, the film will go on the floors in the month of March.

Karthi's popularity has increased in the recent past, especially after the release of his second film Ayarathil Oruvan, though it is doing only an ordinary business in TN.

He will be seen in the role of a police officer in the film, which has loads of commercial elements interspersed.

Details of other cast and crew are not yet known. It is to be seen if the film fares better than the original version.
