Karthi is one of the leading actors in the Tamil film industry. He completed the milestone of 25 movies in his cinema journey with 'Japan', directed by Raju Murugan, last year. Now, the actor has decided to express his gratitude to the audience for supporting him through welfare activities.

Karthi organized a function with his team to offer welfare activities. In the ceremony, he donated Rs 1 crore to support the community through various social welfare activities. As a part of this initiative, he handed over cheques worth Rs 25 lakh to 25 esteemed social activists with each individual receiving a commendable sum of 1 lakh.

On the work front, Karthi is busy with 'Karthi 26' directed by Nalan Kumarasamy and 'Karthi 28' directed by Premkumar. The actor also has sequels like 'Kaithi 2' and 'Sardar 2' in his pipeline. 'Sardar 2' directed by PS Mithran kickstarted with a pooja ceremony in Chennai yesterday. He is also in talks to do 'Theeran 2' with director H Vinoth.
