Karthi has donated rupees one crore for the Nadigar Sangam building fund on the eve of his Pandavar Ani filing their nominations for the SIAA elections which will be held on June 23rd at the Janaki MGR college under the supervision of retired judge Padmanaban. The new Nadigar Sangam building was one of the highlights of the manifesto the incumbent team promised and they conducted star shows and cricket to collect funds but still there is deficit.

Karthi who is the current treasurer of the union is once again contesting for the same post while his team members Nasser, Vishal and Karunaas are also going for a repeat. This time the Pandavar Ani has a strong opposition in the form of veteran actor K.Bhagyaraj contesting for the President post while Isari Ganesh (Secretary), Udaya (Vice President) and Kutty Padmini (VP) are also in the fray.
