We all know that actor Karthi is presently busy shooting for 'Kaatru Veliyidai' directed by ace director Mani Ratnam. The first schedule of the shoot of this film has been completed in Ooty. The film stars Aditi Rao Hyadari as the female lead.

Karthi plays a pilot in this film and he has underwent training for the same and has also trimmed his physique to fit well into his role in this romantic entertainer. Now we learn that the actor for the first time will be sporting a clean shaven look in this film.

He has earlier acted with unkempt looks in films like 'Biriyani' and the recent 'Thozha' while he has sported thick moustache without beard in many films including 'Siruthai' and 'Komban'. Now the source says he has sacrificed his moustache for the first time for 'Kaatru Veliyidai'.

It is worth noting that the Superstar Rajinikanth sported a clean shaven look for his Guru director K.Balachander's 1981 comedy entertainer 'Thillu Mullu'. Before that he has never appeared without moustache in films.
