Karthi as Chief Minister's son in next movie?

It's a well known fact that a biopic is being made on former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Rajasekhara Reddy. Malayalam star Mammootty is essaying the lead role in this movie. The film has been titled ‘Yaatra’ and the team had been scouting for a actor to portray the role of former CM in the movie.
A lot of reports were surfacing the internet that Karthi has been roped into paly the role of Jagannath Reddy, the son of Rajasekhara Reddy. And the buzz was that this would be the first time Karthi is sharing screenspace with Mammootty as well. However sources close to Karthi has stated the reports to be false.
As of now, Karthi is only involved in an upcomg movie called as ‘Dev’. So news of Karthi acting in ‘Yaatra’ is just a rumour. For now, Karthi’s ‘Kadaikutty Singam’ is doing exceptionally well among Tamil and Telugu audiences. Let’s wait for the offical confirmation on his next project!
