Upset over not being able to make it in the Kannada film industry, an aspiring actor from Karnataka recorded a TikTok video, requesting his followers to take care of his parents, and then committed suicide.
The 22-year-old boy, identified as Kiran Yadav, has apparently been auditioning to be part of Kannada reality shows for the past two years. He even reportedly paid some middlemen an amount of Rs. 1 lakh over a year ago to secure a spot in one of the shows. The middleman confirmed his spot in July, which got Kiran's hopes high. However, he was informed via call a week ago that he was not selected for the show. The dejected young man filmed the TikTok video on Thursday following this and then took the extreme step.
Kiran allegedly killed himself in a rented room at the Srinivas Lodge in Kambalipura. A case has been filed at the Hoskote police station and police are on the lookout for the middlemen.
