Gang raped by five men, minor girl gets pregnant

In the Vittal village of Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district, a 17-year-old girl, after being repeatedly raped by five men, has gotten pregnant.

Following an investigation, it has been found that the girl was constantly assaulted sexually by five men, one of whom is a gram panchayat personnel. The girl remained quiet as she was being threatened by one of the men to not reveal the matter outside.

The accused men have been arrested and a case has been booked at the Vittal police station under Sections 376, 506, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 3(1), W(1), (11) SC/ST Act, and POCSO Act.
