A film completely on the pains and pleasures of farmers is for the first time in Kannada filmdom. It is titled as ‘Karnataka Raitha Rajya’ by Banakar Films.

At Sri Adhichunchanagiri Math, Sri Gangadeshwara Swami temple the muhurut was held in the presence of Karnataka Excise minister RB Thimmapura. KPCC working President SR Patil switched on the camera.

Kurudi Banakar has written story, screenplay, lyrics, direct and produce this film. He has taken up the issues of Karnataka farmers in this film. He wishes to see the state of Karnataka as ‘Raitha Rajya’ – farmers state as the backbone is not given proper attention.

Renukumar is behind camera, Abhishekh music, Ultimate Shivu stunts, Ramesh S Patil dance are in technical team.

Abhay, Shivu, Meghana, Avinash, Biradar, Killer Venkatesh, Dingri Nagaraj, Lohitashva, Sumathisri, Navale Hiremath, Annapoorna, Girija, Ravi and others are in the cast.

The shoot is planned at places where the problems of farmers are found in Haveri, Ranebennur, Rattehalli and other locations.
