Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' directed by Pa. Ranjith and produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films is releasing day after tomorrow the 7th June and already the advance booking is getting filled up like hot cakes for the four day weekend. However there is a cloud regarding the release of the film in Karnataka as the film chamber there refused to screen it due to Rajini's Cauvery Management Board statement favoring TN.
Dhanush approached the Karnataka High Court regarding the 'Kaala' release and the hearing came up today. The court is of the opinion that it cannot force anybody to release a film and cannot interfere with the ban. To the plea to provide police protection the judge ordered the petitioner to provide the theater list in advance to the government to facilitate protection for the viewers and property.
The Karnataka Chief Minister has already announced that he will not go against the wishes of the people to releasee 'Kaala' and it is still unknown whether his government will provide the protection. Dhanush's council has stated that only after this the distributor and the theaters will be decided and that the producers will also seek the government support.
