As millions of fans worldwide are expecting the release of Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’, the film was banned in Karnataka by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. However, it was considered that the film could be saved from a ban only by the authority of the Chief Minister of the state Kumaraswamy.

Meanwhile the CM has stated that the Karnataka government hasn’t taken any decision to release the film and that if people didn’t want it, the government wouldn’t interfere. “The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has already decided to not release the movie. The people of the state have no interest in ‘Kaala’ getting released in Karnataka,” he said.

Keeping CM’s words in mind, the release of ‘Kaala’ in Karnataka still remains doubtful. However, the South Indian Film Producers Council has promised to engage in talks and release the film. Stay tuned for more updates.
