Yesterday there was information from Karnataka police that there's a bomb threat to Tamilnadu and other neighboring states and that they're planning to bomb trains running in the southern states. Following this protection was intensified in Tamil Nadu.
It was said that the information was given by a person named Swamy Sundara Murthy and that he was a lorry driver. Today he was arrested in Bangalore by Karnataka police and it has been revealed that it was not confirmed information but a guess that made him call the police.
Swamy Sundara Murthy (65) is a former army officer himself and his son, another army officer had passed away killed in the war. He has said in police enquiry that after the bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, he had guessed that terrorists might intrude into Tamilnadu via sea, and might plot attacks and hence out of guess he had alerted cops reportedly. Though his information does not have any evidence and has been dismissed as a rumour by police, the protection has been intensified in Tamil Nadu and other southern states.
