Dhanush's latest movie 'Karnan' directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by Kalipuli S Thanu has won rave reviews from critics and is also the biggest grosser at the box office for the multitalented star. The film with music by Santhosh Narayanan starred Dhanush, Lal, Natty Natraj, Rajisha Vijayan, Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli and Yog Babu.

The Telugu remake rights of 'Karnan' has reportedly been bagged by popular Tollywood producer Bellamkonda Suresh. It is said that his son Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is set to play the lead role and the director and the rest of the cast and crew details are being worked out.

Already Dhanush's previous blockbuster hit 'Asuran' directed by Vetrimaaran has been remade in Telugu as 'Narappa' starring Venkatesh and is slated for release on May 14th 2021. Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas also tasted success with 'Rakshashudu' the Telugu remake of the Tamil blockbuster hit 'Ratsasan' directed by Ramkumar and staring Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul.
