Being a thorough professional, Kareena Kapoor didn’t expect things being put on backburner, in related to the sequel of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ (OUATIM). With several delays and uncertain plans revolving around the project, Kareena has opted out of the Milan Luthria directorial.

According sources, Kareena was not impressed with the way things were shaping up and also she was not getting proper updates from Balaji Productions. While she was aware that she will be part of the OUATIM sequel, Kareena was neither allotted the shooting dates nor informed about other details of the film by the production. When the actress inquired about it, the makers were said to be unresponsive and remained mum.

While some sources believe that the reason for Bebo quitting the project is because Shahid Kapoor has been considered for playing the second lead, others revealed that it is due to her and Saif Ali Khan’s marriage which is expected after Agent Vinod’s release. Some also share that in the meantime Kareena was offered with another major project, the dates of which alleged to clash with ‘OUATIM 2’.

In the film, Kareena was expected to play the role of gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s girlfriend Mandakini.

As of now, the reasons of Bebo opting out of the Balaji venture has not been confirmed by either party…
