Kareena Kapoor got into trouble when she shared a quote on her Instagram Stories that she said came from the famous actor Clint Eastwood. The quotation underlined that the simple pleasures in life define luxury rather than any kind of financial success. Kareena retweeted it saying, "Read it again and often," with a heart emoji. According to the quotation, real luxury is laughter, friendship, good health, and the love and respect of others—not in ostentatious goods or experiences.

Not everyone, meanwhile, valued the sentiment. One Reddit user pointed out the irony of someone living in luxury discussing how it isn't the most important thing in life when calling out Kareena for her post. "No hate or jealousy here, but I always find it funny (and tone-deaf) when the ultra-rich post about how money isn't everything." they said.

Other Redditors responded to reflect the same attitude. While some cited well-known movie phrases to challenge her position, others questioned the veracity of such remarks from someone living a wealthy life. "They live in their own bubble," one user said. Strip luxury from their life; then, we will see."

A few defended Kareena in spite of the criticism, implying that only those who had gone through riches could really appreciate its constraints.

Professionally, Kareena Kapoor will star in "The Buckingham Murders," "Singham Again," and Meghna Gulzar's next film.
