The movie was initially meant for her; then due to some problems with script requirements Kareena Kapoor opted out of Madhur Bhandarkar’s ambitious project 'Heroine'. And now after much hue and cry, the sizzling beauty is back in the film.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy, although a celebration in personal front, turned out to be a major block for the makers of the film. The actress had even shot for a week for the movie and later dropped the project following her 'good news'.

The fallout proved to be quite taxing, emotionally and professionally, for the director, for whom 'Heroine' was a dream project. The film team then went on to announce that the film has been on hold for the time being while names of top leading ladies in the industry were considered for the movie. And now finally the wait and tension is over, especially for Bhandarkar and Kareena has been finalised for 'Heroine'.

According to sources, recently UTV's CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur along with Heroine's writer Niranjan Iyengar met Kareena in Hyderabad. She was there to meet her boyfriend Saif Ali Khan, who was shooting for 'Cocktail'. Once there, Kapur and Iyengar managed to convince the actress to come back in 'Heroine'.

Although Kareena gave her nod, she put out few conditions. While she agreed to do snorting, drinking and smoking scenes, Kareena refused to do explicit lovemaking scenes with Arjun Rampal and Arunoday Singh - as she was not comfortable in doing extremely bold scenes.

Now only problem is that Madhur has to sit again and bring some changes in the script to suit Kareena's preferences.

Anyways, the 'Heroine' case is almost solved....
