Remember, earlier we had informed you how the cold war between Bachchans and Kapoors will fade away, with the coming together of Big B and Kareena in Prakash Jha’s upcoming political drama ‘Satyagraha’. Well, read on the updates…

Talks are that in the film Amitabh Bachchan will be portraying a character who will be staunch follower of Gandhism. Some sources even refer Big B’s character as modern day Gandhi. On the other hand, the talented beauty Kareena will be playing a journalist, a strong character to be loosely inspired from real life CNN’s journo Chirstiane Amanpour. After Preity Zinta (Lakshaya), Kangana Ranaut (Knockout) and Rani Mukherjee (No One Killed Jessica), its now turn of our Bebo to pull up her sleeves and act as a serious reporter on screen.

According to sources, Jha has already finalised the cast of this biggie which like his previous movies will be a multi-starrrer. Already the news was out that the film will have Big B, Ajay Devgn and Kareena in lead. Now of late, Jha’s favourites Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai have also been brought on board. Sources found out that Ajay will be playing an ambitious entrepreneur who represents the modern India shining philosophy while Arjun is a social activist and aspiring politician. And Manoj will be donning a similar role that he earlier played in ‘Rajneeti’ – as that of a scheming politician who always works against system.

‘Satyagraha’ is expected to start its shooting in January 2013. Jha’s ‘Chakravyuh’ is currently garnering attention while it is yet to release. But in the meantime, looks like Jha is quite kicked to start working on ‘Satyagraha’….
