Karanth, Thanush hit out at KFCC

Do we have to believe KFCC in future – asks director and writer Rajendra Karanth and producer cum hero Thanush Shivanna for showing disparity.

A bunch of new producers were invited by KFCC and promised to look after their interest in the release as they asked for cooperation when the strike was on for UFO and Qube tariff system.

Suddenly KFCC asked the producers in queue to release to make arrangement with a short notice. Secondly on the promise made that 9th March films would land on 16th of March and 23rd March films should go to 30th of March – they showed partiality to ‘Rajaratha’ film. Why they should do like that? We wanted to come to theatres on 16th of March as it was suggested best day for ‘Nanjundi Kalyana’ but KFCC did not control the rush of films on the one side and they did not ask ‘Rajaratha’ to come on 30th of March – it was a principles KFCC had set – they went back on it.

All such disparities shown to first time producers is permitting us to ask whether we have to believe in KFCC or not said Karanth and Thanush in a media meet on Tuesday.

Director Rajendra Karanth used the opportunity to take a dig at ‘Rajaratha’ – it is because of big in making that film was given opportunity. For the film makers it might be big and small dream – money is same. I have seen that film faring in foreign countries as I finished my trip recently. I was in Toronto and in Padmavate film the Telugu version Rajaratham trailer was shown. The film team did not show respect to Kannada ‘Rajaratha’. The KFCC taken responsibility of release in order failed to convince ‘Rajaratha’ team and it is not right move on KFCC part he stated. Why should they break the rules they have framed asked Rajendra Karanth.
